Olga Souvermèzoglou (b. 1997) is a visual artist and independent researcher. She graduated in 2022 from the Department of Fine Arts at the Athens School of Fine Arts and is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in the Interdepartmental Programme “Sociology and Philosophy of Art and Culture.” During her undergraduate studies, she completed a semester-long Erasmus+ exchange in the Fine Arts and Photography programme at the Willem de Kooning Academie (WdKA, Rotterdam, the Netherlands). In June 2022, she presented her diploma project as a multimedia installation titled Earthquake Diplomacy / Neighbour Diplomacy, focusing on the 1999 earthquakes in Turkey and Greece and their social, cultural, and political repercussions. In 2023, she worked as Events Coordinator at the European Theater and Film Institute (E.T.F.I.) as part of her internship. In the academic year 2023–2024, she was awarded a scholarship by the Indonesian Government to pursue studies in traditional arts, specializing in batik and traditional dance. In 2026, she presented her first solo exhibition "Neighborhood Diplomacy" in Malum space and created the artwork "Unshipped" as a grantee of the Tae’thir Project (Marseille) that supports artistic research and production for Meditterenean artists. Her research interests focus on the archival investigation of event-based evidence through artistic means and on methodologies for producing and interpreting historical material grounded in oral and written testimonies. Her artistic practice explores the boundaries between art and activism (artivism), the relationship between ecology and the human, and the dynamics of neighbourhood, as well as community-based and collective practices. In parallel, she expands her artistic vocabulary through her engagement with performative practices at the National Theatre of Greece.
